Fibreglass Repairs

Robstan attend to all types of fibreglass work.

Whether small or major collision damage, general laminating using vinyl esters/ epoxies etc. We fix gelcoat chips and dings before they worsen and undermine the structural integrity of the vessel. Cracks may look superficial, but don’t ignore them. Often they can be repaired easily however, these can often indicate a bigger problem.

Timber Repairs & Varnishing

We can look after all aspects of your timber work.

All timber work repairs and varnishing services are catered for, including ongoing maintenance provided. We have specialists who will meticulously repair and refurbish weathered timber and bring back to new.

Mast Rigging Replacement & Refurbishment

Troubles with your mast? We can help.

Masts removed, re-sprayed, re-rigged, running rigging replaced etc.

Underwater Hull Cleaning & Repairs

We offer annual cleaning contracts (cleaning your boat every 4 weeks) and casual hull cleaning. We fit anodes along with underwater repairs. Hull cleaning is an essential way of maintaining your boat and getting the best out of your anti-foul. A must for the serious racer!

Antifouling

If you keep your boat in the water applying an antifouling product is a must. Antifoul will keep your boat from unwanted growth and maintain an optimum hull condition. Hulls perform a lot better (speed and economy) when painted annually or bi-annually, depending on product used.

Robstan confidently use International paints which offer an across the board quality product to suit varying requirements. All antifouls are airless spray applied.

Sand Blasting

Robstan can keep your boat looking in top form by sand-blasting.

Paint build up (cracking and peeling) and osmosis can be treated firstly by cleaning hulls back to gel coats or timbers and freshly treated again.

Spray Painting

Robstan commonly carry out both hull touch ups and full hull topside/deck re-sprays. We will colour match to ensure repairs are seamless and can assist with the many colour options if you’re looking for a full refresh to bring new life to your boat.

We generally use 2 pack paints, in any of the 1000 colours available.

Trailerable Marine Craft

Robstan has a custom factory facility in Braeside for trailerable boats, be it sail or power we can carry out repairs and replacements of transoms, floors, stringers, gelcoat repairs, hull and deck modifications, full boat resprays and refits.

We can also come to you to assess and discuss your boat, saving you time!

Detailing Service

Maintaining the condition of your boat not only improves the aesthetics of your vessel but extends the longevity, structural performance and safety of your boat. Whether your boat is fibreglass or timber, maintenance is a must (our detailing services include; cleaning, cutting & polishing, full detailing, underwater hull cleaning). We can provide an affordable casual detailing service or schedule regular maintenance to suit your needs.

Engineering & Turning

With two fully equipped machine shops, we can cater for all fitting and turning requirements.

Slipping & Launching

We will co-ordinate both slipping and launching with SYC and the boat owner. We also offer a Valet Service returning your boat to its pen or neighbouring club if required.
